Description

I’ve recently been diving into sunset studies using spray paint and paint pens on paper. It’s been an eye-opening process, especially when it comes to embracing imperfections. In the past, I would have restarted multiple times at the sight of any flaw. But with these studies, I’ve found myself letting go of that need for perfection.

Living with the imperfections has brought a new dimension to my work. Rather than trying to erase or cover up these so-called mistakes, I’ve started to see them as integral parts of the piece. They add layers of interest, making each study more dynamic and revealing different aspects every time I look at them.

Each image I create plays with the idea of color and how it interacts with the viewer’s perception. The colors are meant to shift and change, almost playing tricks with your eyes. Depending on where you stand or how the light hits the paper, new details emerge, and the piece transforms. It’s not just about capturing a sunset; it’s about exploring how colors can create an experience that’s fluid, alive, and ever-changing.
